Greetings, my name is Scott Angle. I'm the Dean of the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences and also the Director for Georgia Cooperative Extension. I want to be one of the first to welcome you to your new position. The College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences is a leading organization in the United States. We have a fabulous reputation around the country. Part of that reputation is based upon the responsiveness of the Cooperative Extension Service. We are paid by the citizens of the state of Georgia and as such we have the responsibility to ensure that they're provided with the timely, research-based information to help improve their daily lives. I hope you keep that in mind as you go through your careers. It's a fun place to work, it can be a very rewarding experience for you. You're going to meet lots of new and exciting people. I would ask that you contact me if you have any questions, comments or concerns. I am the chief cheerleader for the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences and because of that I need to know when you've been successful so that I can carry that message out to the rest of the state.
