STAFF DEVELOPMENT
All county Extension faculty, regardless of tenure, benefit from
continued staff development. In discussions with your District Extension
Director, Program Development Coordinator/Specialist and County Extension
Coordinator, you can select appropriate trainings and other opportunities
and build a professional development plan which will meet your short-term
and long-term goals, both in programming and in personal growth.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Beyond Extension staff development opportunities, it is the responsibility
of every county Extension faculty member, new and experienced,
to actively pursue professional development opportunities. These
may include participation in Extension and other professional associations,
attending conferences, seminars, workshops, graduate course work,
or other educational programs. Talk with your colleagues to get
suggestions for what would be most beneficial to you.
